Privacy Policy
Effective: May 2026
The short version: the numbers you type into our calculators never leave your browser.
What we collect
DuckDollar has no accounts, no signup, and no email list. You don't provide us any personal information to use any tool on this site. Every calculation runs inside your browser tab, so the figures you enter — your salary, your debts, your net worth — are never sent to our servers.
Browser storage
One tool, the Debt Payoff Planner, lets you save your debt entries in your browser's localStorage so you don't have to re-enter them on your next visit. This is optional — there's a checkbox to enable it — and the data stays entirely on your device. It's never sent to any server. You can clear it anytime by unchecking the save option or using the tool's reset button.
No other tool stores anything in your browser.
Third-party services
Fonts. Typefaces are served from this site rather than from a font CDN, so loading a page doesn't disclose your IP address to a third party just to render text.
Contact form. The contact page uses a form powered by Fillout. If you submit the contact form, your message and any information you provide are processed by Fillout. See Fillout's privacy policy for details.
Advertising. DuckDollar does not currently serve ads, and no ad network code runs on this site. We expect to add modest advertising to cover hosting costs. Ad networks typically set cookies to do this, so this policy will be updated to describe exactly what they collect — and how to opt out — before any ad goes live.
Analytics
DuckDollar uses Google Analytics to see which tools people actually find useful and which pages are slow or broken. It records things like the pages you visit, the approximate region you're in, your device type, and how you arrived at the site. It sets cookies to do this.
What it does not receive is anything you type into a calculator. Your salary, your debts, your net worth — those are computed in your browser and are never transmitted anywhere, so they aren't available to Google Analytics or to us. You can opt out entirely with Google's opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser settings.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if our data practices change. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
